Renewed Hope are delighted to be one of the 4 chosen charities for the second “Dash to the Med”. Their aim was to raise over £75,000 for charity by driving a fleet of open top cars from Reigate to the Mediterranean.
We are delighted to report they were successful with both challenges!
13 cars (26 drivers) departed from Old Reigatians Rugby Club at 5:00 pm on Wednesday 7th June. 13 cars (26 drivers) arrived in Antibes on Saturday afternoon, having survived sun and rain (all with the roofs down), and traversed the french alps in their sub-£1000 cars.
They also met their fundraising target – currently the donation total stands at £78,500 . This will be split between the 4 charities – Renewed Hope, East Surrey Domestic Abuse, My Name’5 Doddies (Fighting Motor Neurone Disease) and Reigate Grammar school foundation.
Congratulation to everyone involved in this fabulous challenge .
