Hope House

In Autumn 2021, we acquired a house for the homeless. It has been a long-held ambition at Renewed Hope to have year-round accommodation for homeless people and in early 2022, Hope House will became a reality.

The four men who live there receive support from our support worker and individual volunteer mentors. They are referred to us by the council because they have been identified as needing our support to get ready for permanent accommodation. We are also able to help them work on their individual challenges, such as mental illness, maintaining a healthy diet, budgeting or unemployment by working with other partner agencies.

The benefit of a shared supported house is that it is a place the residents can make their home. Since shared houses are the main form of affordable housing for single people in this area, Hope House will prepare them well for private or social tenancies later on.

“You have all gone above and beyond in the speedy growth and re-development for me and I’d never be able to repay your kindness, but I hope one day to be able to support the charity in some form.”
